I wish you did a dyno or rolling road test to see the difference between the stock intake and the modified one.

It looks good.

It isn't fitted yet though Paul, if I get a chance I shall see what I can do  ;D
Although it hasnt been properly mapped with the current setup, so I've no idea how accurate a difference just the inlet mods would make

nearly sorted with the front suspension setup now.
just need to sort the antiroll bar out on the front as the angles are too much for the rose joints  :rolleyes:





the coilovers were brought from Ebay second hand as an unknown quantity, but appear to be Avo units. The mounts my friends dad made up were too tight unfortunately, and due to the lack of articulation on the spherical bearing end it sheared a damper rod  :o
So a new unit and a big more machine work to the mounting spacers ensued, and now running 950lb 7inch springs which seem to be quite compliant ride wise  ;D

Just need to call up the 2 Steves and get booked in for mapping up the ole girl at long last  :-X

Hi that sub-frame looks new or have you had it blasted ? those coilovers look tiny after the big STD items , have you got your new plenum done for the mapping where are you taking it I think you have told me before but cant remember !!!!!! looks like your getting there now paul ?

It's a blasted and powder coated spare subframe I acquired a while ago :)
The coilovers are 2.25inch body, but only 11inch fully extended.
Going to get Track n Road to do the mapping,  and the modded inlet is still in progress before fitting up  :-X

Well, finally got the ole girl mapped up at Track N Road last month, and wow! What a difference its made  ;D

starts and idles with the ISCV working now, pulls from low rpm and seems to pull consistently all the way to 6000rpm  ;D

Hi any updates on your plenum,

Erm, yes  :-X
I have the end caps made up and the plenum itself drilled and tapped to bolt the end caps on. Just fannying around at the mo polishing it up and I need to sort the bracket for the throttle cable retaining.

Should all be done in a couple of months, as the ole bus is having a load of bodywork done next month  :o

Hi Paul  how did your plenum turn out ? hope all going well with car , mine going well now engine sorted nice to drive again , I had to put new fans in as old one not up to the job , got air -tec fans now what a differants they made , Gerry.

Hi Gerry, no idea yet as I've still not got it fitted or polished up yet  :(

Granny has been off road since June having bodywork reconstruction as well, which is hopefully nearing completion now.
Glad yours is still going well, not seen you about in it lately though  ;D

what are you reconstructing on the body ? ive been about in car but  not your way much been through challock and charing hill a couple of times , are you aiming for next year now ? ive got a couple of things to do over winter , just upgrading things  .

It's had both rear arches repaired, diff cross member reconstructed,  both front sections of the inner sills repaired, front inner wings and underneath the rear screen chopped out and rebuilt  :o

Fuel tank is being baffled properly and awaiting paint is the next big step now really. Hoping before christmas, but I'm not going to be getting my hopes up  ;)

Yeah, was in need of some tlc body wise. Just waiting for paint now and shall try and upload some progress pics of the bodywork when I'm next on a proper computer  ;)

have you made your own fuel tank as your putting baffles in , im replacing my P Steering pipes over winter as im not happy with the way it is at mo . keep at paul its all worth in the end  :2tu:

The fuel tank was made years ago when I installed the BOA, have since discovered that near half a tank of fuel on track causes fuel starvation as there isn't any baffles in the tank only the swirl pot  :o



and inside it as it was



And after a bit of battery powered jigsaw action



And some cardboard mock ups for the baffle plates



And in each baffle plate will be a one way ball valve as well, made by Daves dad  :laugh:

I am still plodding along with this, waiting for the fuel tank mods to be done and returned and getting the rear end/whole car resprayed.

I have however nearly finished the polishing of the inlet manifold though  ;D







Just need to pop along to my friends dad and ask nicely to use his bench mounted polisher  :mellow:

Hi Paul that baffle should do the job :thumbsup:  your inlet should fllow alot more air i recon . when the weather better and cars on road we could meet up ?

Well, I didnt realise I hadnt posted in here for quite so long  :o

Shall update with some pics tonight or over the weekend though. The ole girl has been off the road for nearly 2years now, having had extensive welding repairs  :blank:

So, a few months ago now my good friend Paul came over and done some lead loading for me. Just to build up the metal work for a (hopefully) smaller fill of filler  :laugh:



















Hate doing bodywork with a passion, filler work even more so  :o

But I'm nearly happy with the lines now

Wasn't sure that was going to work, but it seems photobucket is playing ball now  :2tu:

Got some stiffer springs fitted to the front coilovers as well, so hopefully the front end will be a tad less bouncy when I finally get the ole girl back on the road  :lol:





Also got some new anodised alloy parts for the fuel system to give that a bit of a birthday as well
