Got a letter from Spain today, saying I've won on a lottery..... Somehow they asked for a copy of my identification and also my bank account No......  I can just wish em luck to try to make a fortune out of my account, even if I sent them the info they need. There ain't much there to steel

i think its fake.

according to european rules, you have 1 year to claim the price, before it goes to the state.  you only have to oktober 31 2008 according to the letter. so i guess its fake. sorry.

but if you still get the price, congrates.

Ofcourse it is fake, they just want my ID and bank account number so they can rip me off. And maybe they take some credits in my name, or buy a new ford

But far too many people are mug enough to fall for it and end up with there accounts emptied and ccj's against em.  

I think it happened to an old boy not so long back , he lost everyting....

I think what you should do is pass the letters/email onto the police, that way some kind of investigation 'might' start, and these scamming bastards could eventually end up as someone's 'bitch' in jail in some 3rd world country.

But that's just my bleeding heart opinion

i had an email from someone in brussels saying id won 1,000,00 euro's  and would i contact this person to arrange the transfer of funds
