The engine is the 320bhp, 335 ft/lb (standard) beast that goes in oz ford falcons. Shipping should be about another £250...fingers crossed

Thats what i thought when i saw it - a stage 3 rebuild of the 2.8 would cost twice this! and still not be a tenth of the engine....plus, if i buy this, i can SELL my engine, turbo kit and t9!

I'm waiting for a response to that the same question - I also asked bou the ECU. If all else fails though, I could convert the bugger to MS no? That might unlock some extra ponys on the rollers as well

TransitRS - I like how the manifold matched the red on the top of the engine    that shite got HOT
Dave - Yeah but the geezers being awkward over a few poxy quid so I may tell im to stick it where the sun don't shine - I offered him $3000 when he was askin $3300 and he says oh no sorry, can't sell it for that   people like that wind me up. SO i made a final offer just now of $3300 with EVERYTHING - complete engine +gearbox, ECU, powersteering pump, altwrnator and aircon compressor. If he says no thats it - he can fuck off

update - no joy - he wants over 2 grand (£) for the engine and gearbox with everything you need  which wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for the shipping from oz. Also, its a bit risky when the seller is 12000 miles away. If anyone else is intrested, it on ebay.com.au - search xr6 engine - theres a few but this ones complete and low miles, no leaks.

I reckon the standard ECU with an Auzzie chip would be much beter than MS. its all off the shelf there with proven results. plug and play is the answer if its with in budget.... i have to say though mate....

that aston martin lump would of been better....
