The heart says do it but the mind says part prices (even service items), special tools, diagnostic gear...and besides, i bet it weighs at least half a ton. nah we're better of with our v6 engines

It would sound amazing!

for sure...those V12 give out a throaty bark when you wang the throttle - much nicer than the lumpy burble of a V8....at the the end of the day, its 2 straight sixes in total harmony, no primary or secondary vibration and a pot firing every 30 degress - the knackers, no doubt about it.

edit - ah bollocks, youve got me going...buy it and cross the hurdles when you get to them - where theres a will theres a way

tbh - the Tickford Capris were built by Aston Martin...and the cappas got a big enough bay easy...you know what i'd do

Got an idea!!!!!!!!!!!!

Throw the 24V cossie lump out and install that mid mount in a 3 door shell.

Gonna take a shite load of bracing to stop it from making the shell look like a coock sister but hey imagine.

100L fuel tank in front, gonna need it, and for weight distribution of course. Angled rad with inter cooler and all the rest in the old engine bay Hey on the road then no probs.

Only prob I can see is if you wanted 4x4 LOL

Just an Idiots Idea I guess.

Nah fook 4x4! thats for girls.... (await abuse from 99% of forum)

i recon with a bulkhead mod that would go nicely in 3dr, Brom from Zoo moved it back loads on his 3dr more than enough to get one of them in.

Not like i've got 1k for an engine....nice thought tho

How bout this....

Build a tubular space frame out 4030 chro-mo to take it with double wishbones and coilovers at 4 corners - then make a ultra thin carbon shell using a saph or cappa as a mould/dolly...superlight flywheel, up the final drive by 50% and put a progressive 250 shot nitrous kit on it

and no worries bout eggs - NOBODY can throw em fast enough to get me
besides, with a Ford derived Aston V12...purists can go eat poo

to be fair... it wasn't dear....

If you look at the cost of a YB and box you could quite easy spend that on a nice 40k motor, My mate spent £1500 on a basic rebuild on his escos (no pistons or crank) would of looked and gone well in the old saph....

may be another time eh!

No feedback either way, after 5 days - might not of gone through...I wouldn't have sold it for less than £5000. If anyones intrested, it might be worth sending the seller a message - just in case, you never know...he may still have it and be happy with £3000

Winning bidders often back out...as do sellers.
