It's a Covin 911 replica iirc.  They've been very busy the last few days.  Keep the pics coming.  Mike.

Im afraid ill have to disapoint you all, lol its my car, its a Rocka Alpha, these are very rare, i think 4 where left in this country.

I thought it was a covin for ages until the chap that built them told me the story about this one.  And it also explained why when the covin chaps would go that isnt right it should be x or y from a beetle (they hadnt seen the car in person) and id always find these bit where from a ford or that the pictures of a covin always seemed slightly different or the biggest one, the engine was in the front and not the rear.

Apparently as you will see with the dual wishbones, and fully adjustable front to rear suspension, these cars could beat a real 911 turbo on a racetrack when they had the pinto engine fitted, this is because this car was designed like a race car and belive me it takes corners at speeds that make my sphincter start to twitch lol.

And now that im fitting a lovely boa engine in id expect its power to weight ratio to be the same as the orignial 911 turbos so id hope in a straight line we would be about equal.

Any way some other details for you

It has crumple zones front and rear, this one i think was the kevlar/fibre ones and are strong enough that you could jump on the roof.  It has 3 loops in side the car for extra ridgety, with 2 main bars front to rear, and belive me there big like iron girders, i think the total weight of the car should come in about 750-800kgs when all finished but as im moving to Guernsey at some point i have no choice and have to have the car weighed there so ill know for sure then.

Its fitted with a T9 V6 box, all round disks, currently putting in the cosy MC since the old servo wouldnt fit thanks to the bigger engine.

The plenum chamber has had one of the bumps milled down to make her fit under the bonnet

If i think of anything else ill let you know

Neil

Glad your adding the pics Mike, id get bored of doing that lol.

With any luck tomorrow people ill have stripped and re painted that rear suspension now that mikes taken it appart for me, and we should hopefully have sorted the brakes out, since the MC also fowls with the engine but only just so the main part stays in place and the pump/accumilator are moving towards the front near where the radiator will be so that the engine is free to twist again lol.

And i have to give a big thanks to Mike and his mates, since Thursday i think we have put a total of around 200 man hours into this project
