lhd speedometer cable
« on: December 20, 2007, 13:42:11 PM »
my roommmate sort of fixed the speedometer cable in teh cossie this past week, but we suspect it won't last.

does anyone know where to get a hold of a speedometer cable for a lhd 3 door cossie? the rhd one won't work, it's way too short. the lhd one goes all the way across the firewall before attaching to the speedometer.

thanks for any help.

I might have a LHD MT75 speedo cable if its any use to you?
It's held in with a circlip just like any other cable. I can get you some measurements if you like?

Do you bury all your parts in the garden

I've got a feeling that a RHD 2.0 DOHC 4x4 clutch cable might sort you out if Marty cant find the X on his garden map

no problem mate, it's working for right now, but don't know how long and i don't intend on actually putting tags on the car till february.

see rob, that's why i can't use a uk speedo cable. it comes from the f/s of the transmission and goes forward then up straight up the firewall, then turns and goes all the way over to the n/s and then loops back around and goes into the dash. i don't think i've ever seen a speedo cable this long. whne i get back home next weekend i'll get pictures for you all.
