My 'under the block' hose has gone again. I am having trouble getting one from ford, so i borrowed my mates secondhand spare one, i have now burst that aswell.
I am seeing a local hose company tomorrow who have said they may be able to get one made up from mine as a pattern.
I will let you know if i get a result.
Cheerskevin
Hi mate I will let you know my results from samco as they are getting back to me within the next week for a price for the complete kits.
You say you have burst three hoses now and that tells me you have a problem somewhere with pressurising and I would say that there is a high probability that something may also be catching and chafing or maybe there is oil eating away at the hose too.

Hi Shaun
It was 2 hoses.
The first one (came with the engine) did 1500 miles fine - that one then split. Looks like it may have been trapped under the block a bit over the years.
The second one was a used one from a 130,000 mile engine (borrowed from mate) - that one lasted approx 100 miles.
Other than trapping/chaffing, what could cause it to go so quick, or is it cos i disrupted the pipe after it had been sitting comfortably on his engine for years, was it near end of life before i fitted it to mine?
Barnsley company wont do it, but a company in Leeds are contemplating doing it (after they have seen it).
I only have 9 days left to get it re MOTd', so desperate to get it done ASAP.
Cheers
Kevin

In the time that I had mine on the road the only thing that caused the hose to go was oil contamination caused by a leak from the cam cover running down under the head but I cured this very quickly with some silicone sealer.
I am just waiting for samco to send me my hose kit as they are putting the kits into production now and finalizing prices for me to post on the forums that I am subscribed to.
I have a brand new genuine ford item in my origional hoses that will be getting returned to me once the tooling has been completed by samco so if you are still stuck I will gladly sell you mine.

Hi Shaun
Nice looking set of hoses .
How much did the set cost in the end and will they consider selling individual hoses?
Cheers

Yes they had to be in dayglo orange to go with my custom engine mounts, my polly bushes and my tape measure.

Cheers mate they are great aren't they (and came for a far too reasonable price to disclose) I had to choose the orange as my car is green and the contrast from orange to green will be awesome.

Right people the hose kits are available to order now and are priced at £218+vat.
The product code is TCS408-C
As you have seen it is the complete kit and is certainly a step in the right direction as far as I am concerned.

Hi Nick, I have been through all the details with the Products manager at samco and the website only gets updated every 4-6 weeks.
I can assure you that the product is available to purchase now and that is why I was asked to add the product code (TCS408-C) to any forums which I am associated with so that anyone can quote it to any samco dealer and get a set ordered.

Thanks
Shaun

Think I asked this before - but is the ISCV hose included in this or can it be purchased seperately? It would make sense if it was as Ford don't have them anymore???

This is just the coolant hoses mate hence the c on the end of TCS408-C part number.

I would imagine if enough interest is made then yes they will do as they are always looking at improving the range for the Ford vehicle range.
I will get in touch with them and see what I can find out.

Thanks for your recognition mate it is really nice to be appreciated by at least one person on this forum as when I first joined it seemed like such a friendly place to be and a little goes a long way.

It took a little time and a lot of patience to get them done but it has paid off in the end.
Just to point out though I am just a normal bloke with an interest in moddified fords and not some well connected company owner or high up in the ford moddifiers circle, all of which made my job twice as hard.
I hope a few more people appreciate the efforts that have been put into this and get there cars kitted out too.

Cheers

Shaun.

Thanks mate no worries.

I have been in touch with samco over the breather and the isc hoses and once i have sent a few pics they are gona get back to me over them.
That may take a few moments though as I have mine in a box somewhere in my garage or maybe my shed or possibly the car boot or maybe even my loft.
You get the picture Lol.

Shaun, That's absolutely great news if they can do the ISCV hose - with Ford not stocking it anymore, they should fly out the door - I know I'll be ordering a couple of them if they make them  . I'd love to order a set of coolant hoses but will have to wait a while as the YB is getting re-built at the moment and I'm getting all the other required bits to do the necessary maintenance on the 24v

cheers for checking up on this - much appreciated.

is this kit specifically for the granny scorpio in a granny scorpio engine bay? or will it fit directly in a sierra bay with the 24v?
