Hi, yes the 3.5 litre has been in the Sierra for about 4 years now. Really happy with it.
Have a read at this thread https://passionford.com/forum/technical-essay-archives/487520-cologne-stroker.html it'll give you an insight on what's involved.
"3doorclone" also has had his 3.5L running for about 18months and is a member on "Fordpower".

yes so as i see the engine is pretty much reliable so far did you put much milage into it i was looking to use the ford 302 5.4 inch rod which would give you if i remember 1.62 angle ratio but now im fixing my sho yamaha engine which they are real beast one might end up into a mk1 capri don't know yet but thank for the reply its appreciated for sure nice job on your engine

Have you managed to sort it out yet?

bigro007

Hi
yes i have too many car and not enough work so far lol but yeah im getting there the reason is if i use the 5.4 inch rod with one a compression height of 1.025 inch then the idea is i would have to grind the crank to much but for now its the sho car for my daughter i want to get finish first if i complete the stroker it would probably end up in my tvr 280I if i can get to that before the ice age lol

Sorry bigro007 I was asking robrs2 if he got his login to Sierra Owners forum all sorted.

More than happy to chat about the 3.5L but will need to start a new thread as this is robrs2 thread on a completely different topic.

bigro007

Hi
ok no problem on that did you had many picture taken when you did that stroker of your?
and how much horse and torque are you getting out of it thank
bigro007

bigro007

Hi again
yes thank for the photo i hear what your saying the reason why i would use the 5.4 its only for grinding reason hopefuly it would be less of the crank grinding that all and also the reputation of the engine that doesn't last  specially i read dave thread about that stroker so then there is a little hope haha
