This old photograph I wanted to show. The 2003 Ford Fair. A really hot day was then. The rain is not in sight. I got in my car, but the area was a great event and a great experience for me and my wife.
We drove to Sweden and take the ferry to England. We went by train under the Channel to France, to Germany and take the ferry back to Finland. This kind of recognition between.

What you say is true, you have increased the rod length to increase the leveredge on the crank which should increase power. If I understand what you're saying right!

It seems that for some reason these STD 4.0L cranks are simply not as strong as the 24V crank. The stroke is the only real difference between them. Very strange!

There must be some steel cranks in the U.S surly?

My theory of it is that you get the same effect when for example increasing the length of a seesaw.
With a small diameter you get lower "pressure" on the middle than if you increase the diameter since the weight is more centralized when the diameter is lower.

I asked a contact at Eagle cranks, Forced custom cranks like the 4.0 v6 are only special order and are very $$$. All other 4.0 and stroker cranks for the 4.0 are cast iron.

I changed the direction of this year. Engine for the Ford Edge will 3.5v6 and try to break this two turbos. And 6speed gearbox bmw code 53dz. So long project. But I'll try something new now.

I bought mustang/F150 3.7 oil pan so I hope that I could get the engine to fit the Sierra. Bmw gearbox comes with adapter to the engine.

It must have been a very hard decision Pete but the 4.0L cologne engine is proving to be a very unreliable engine when pushed.
You're not the only one who has had bad luck with it!

I think you have made the correct choice.

is it as far down as possible? is the sump close to the crossmember? have you got a picture of underneath? I hope the intake doesn't add much height…?

about 1/2 inch to rack, I hope that I do not have to have to cut the sump.

Where has your gearstick ended up?

What kind of inlet is it? is it big/tall? Ive got zero gap with the jag inlet. The bonnet would probably close just but I'm thinking spacing the crossmember and ARB down if i have to…
Ive got this SVT ST200 inlet coming so I'll check with that first.

Haven't offered it in cos still waiting for my X type sump. I'm still going to have to cut it and close it up but its a better starting point than the crazy s-type thing. I will loose capacity so I will be using the Canton Accusump I bought some time ago. The x type sump is pretty much like your ST220 one minus the webbing on the bottom so maybe thinner there (and weaker :- )gives a little bit more room, maybe.

So that 3.0 Jaguar engine placed in the Mondeo ST200. Intake manifold into ST220.
Cyclone intake manifold have to make my own.

No the ST200 had the Duratec 25 but the intake fits the Jag/Lincoln version of the Duratec 30 as it also has oval intake ports… I heard the ST220 Duratec 30 has round ones?

220 St intake is ideal, at least for this jaguar s type engine directly. They have oval inlet channels. ST220 is a dual channel from the intake manifold.
S-type engine and ST220 intake.
