A Minker and a Tweecer?

Excuse the ignorance but I've only ever read about them on here and just wondered.

A Minker is a very special version of the Sierra XR 4x4 , created by Turbo Technics.
There were just a few built, the expert on them is Dave  ;)

And a Tweecer is a programming device to reprogram the Ford EEC-IV ecu`s.
Keep it very sideways..

Oh I see....I shall now consider myself educated  ;D

Just one further query then, could the Tweecer be used to re-programe a standard ECU for an engine that's had the EGR removed?

If there is a definition file for it, yes.

There are a few test files for the boa ecu's but we never continued because of the low intressed of the people.

Hoi Paul, is this something you have had an involvement in? It's really interesting to the likes of people like me who have done the Cossie conversion without the EGR system. If it will eliminate the flat spot you described from getting rid of the EGR then I would be interested in having it done. Would it require the running vehicle or just the ECU for programming?

I did the testing for Mike from Tweecer and you need a running car.

You could send Mike a mail info@tweecer.com, asking him questions and point him to this forum.

....a Tweecer?
I'm almost verging to get one.  Well,I'm debating on either Quarterhorse or Tweecer

This is how the Tweecer is dealt with
http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=199811
And this is how Quarterhorse is connected

Definition files can be created using

It's like reading another language to me, haven't got a clue.

If I ever get my conversion done I wouldn't mind having the ECU reprogrammed for its new set up but I'd just
want to hand the car over to someone and let them do it for me.
