non Ford - my Oldsmobile Toronado
« on: February 20, 2010, 13:49:23 PM »
After several years of engine building, the engine started 2 days ago :-)

455 V8 Olds
9:1 CR
Diamond forged pistons
Eagle Rods, chevy BB bearings
Nodular Crankshaft
steel main caps
ARP everywhere

The engine is planned to run on LPG with 2 injectors per cylinder. It will later be turbocharged by some old school Rajays.
Right now, just atmo engine with 750cfm carb (stolen on my caprice wagon)

Thanks for all your nice comments. I love that car, I bought it when I turned 19.

The gearbox is separate, and sits next to the engine. It is  basically a TH400 which is reversed and driven by a morse chain.

FWD and V8  should be fun at the lights then.

Nice looking car though
