http://www.FDS2000.com]www.FDS2000.com

I'm setting up a website to help learn more about the FDS 2000 diagnostic system (its not up and running yet)

I have been in touch with a few FDS2000 owners like myself who have them but arent trained in their use yet so hopefully this will bring us all together and share the knowledge.

I'm also in touch with an fully trained FDS2000 Ford trained technician who has also offered some assistance.

If anyone who has ANY info, pictures, stories, contacts, manuals or even spare parts could please get in touch I would be very grateful.

Someone with one still in use would be ideal!

Hopefully once the website is up and running and registering on Google and the likes it will attract some interest from others who can add to the knowledge base.

Will be putting this post on various Ford forums where the 1994 - 2000 models were covered by the FDS2000 but if you see one i've missed i would be grateful if you could post it or let me know about it.

Hopefully I will be able to create a link between the various forums and provide info on the various diagnostic and programming facilities available

Stuart

I'm having the new IDS VCM
I'm also interested in calibrations, or software that can modify calibrations etc.

I had one of them Stuart & the later OB2 version.
Both where knackered as they was in a tub that filled with water & they drowned

A local Ford dealer bought them off me & had them fixed.

ive spoke to Stuart but hoping some of the new members here who didnt see the post originally may have any manuals etc laying about that they dont mind selling, have to admit its a fairly easy tool to use but having a manual or 2 could come in handy

I wonmder if there is a generic manual for them, it's more likly that the procedures are just referenced in the specific vehicle data sheets.

Cheers for that Gazrs, the WDS will be on my shopping list when they come down in price, but the FDS is perfect for the fords i have at home as they are all late 90's cars, did the wds cover the age ranges of the fds aswell or just the newer models?

wds replaced fds and could do everything it could plus a bit more going off memory there were some of the newer stuff it couldnt do i think was transit and fiesta due to the different key chips ill stand corrected on that as it has been a while, Ive just asked one of the older techs and he says there was no manuals as such just the odd booklet when they went on training courses hes going to have a look at home to see if he kept any,
