Rolling road day
« on: February 20, 2009, 16:28:34 PM »
I've organised a rolling road session at TOTD http://www.torqueofthedevil.com/default.asp]http://www.torqueofthedevil.com/default.asp for saturday 28th march, price is £35 per car with a bacon butty thrown in ( not literally)    Got a few people from the XROC going so thought I'd see if anyone on here wanted to see what there motor really does     I've done a few bits to mine over the winter and thought a good dyno run sounded like a good idea.
Let me know guys

Well it looks like Performance Ford magazine is comming along to take some pictures so the spec & graphs will/maybe appear in the mag.

I will be annoying everyone with me video camera & posting something up in the shows section.

Hopefully I will get some footage of everyones run/graph.

Looks like it's shaping up to be a good day

Guess I don't need to tell you to work through a check list based on spark then fueling.

Good Luck.

I started at the beginning and £82 lighter I'm now the proud owner of a new battery    simple as that, thank god
She positively (lol) spins over a beauty now, I reckon my old battery was knackered for a while before finally giving up the ghost based on how well she spun over straight from the shop without even topping it up
Whohooo, bring on the RR and bring out the trumpets

This is today

Good day for the TT v6's think there is at least 5 of us

Fitted new brake master cylinder & fuel pump.

Fuel pump however has buggered up me fueling abit as it like flows twice as much as the old one.

From what I can work out racing up & down the road it appears the ECU is mapped with a weak pump.

So at the top end of the map the fuel pressure drops a little but it is allowed for in the fuel map.

Fit a decent pump & hey presto over fueling at the top end.

Bugger!

Should still get decent figures

Started Saturday morning off like this

then after a short drive round the M25 to Torque of the Devil in Uxbridge ended up with the cars together outside there rolling road facility

and then

Was a cracking day with some really nice cars turned up, was nice to meet all tthe other xroc members, and i think there were a few from the RSOC and Passionford too, not forgetting Alex (i think)(Capri from FSOC/Retro Rides) who came on behalf of Performance Ford. Top marks for Snoopaloopa for sorting the day out 8)
