Hi There!
« on: January 03, 2009, 16:41:41 PM »
Hi there,

My name is Timo, i'm dutch, and the very proud owner of a very pretty kaspian blue Xr4i, witch i'm going to rebuild Soon, Rearaxle with discs and a LSD, those kind of things.

Currenty the power is from a tuned 2.8i, witch deliveres about 180 HP.

Currently I'm looking for info for a single turbo conversion, as I'm looking for the right parts, and rumors spread tell me you can help me...

Greetings, and pictures will follow!

Timo de Porto

We have 1614 registerd members, but a proportion of them are sleapers or dead. I did clear up the non posters a while back... I guess I should do it again at some point.

this is my beast (or beauty?) :

it has reworked heads, slightly reworked camshaft,  valves are reworked, cross drilled crankshaft, heavy duty con rods, the bearings are all brand new, manifolds are reworked, and it has a lot of new parts inside the case, it deliveres about 180 HP, and the tuning has been done in house by my brother in law and my dad, exept the crossdrilling of the crankshaft, witch a friend of mine did on his work inside a CNC machine.

to bad it's a gearbox breaker...

it's a almost non rusting car, but it still is an Xr4i, so it has it's little problems.

when I bought it I was rolling on RS cosworth alloys, and it has an cossie grille as an option from the factory, and someone did pay a lot of money for it, back in 85 (I wasn't even born!), I got it for 250 euro's, from a breaker, and it has been standing still for over 8 years, but after a short drive on the licence plates from the garage it got his MOT without any trouble.

oh, don't try to learn dutch, it's a hard language, and the dutch learn to speak english from the first schoolyears...

Beer = Bier (sounds pretty much the same)
Sex = Sex and Ford = Ford, who needs to know more?

Greetings from the lovely Island called Texel, and NO, I won't be there @ de Meern on the Newyears meeting, not even in my daily driver (focus 1.6i ), to bad, but it's becouse I have a bit of an issue with my health...
