My local cruise site events organiser has come up with an awesome oppertunity for us.

Excuse the lazy copy and paste details from their site but time is short at the moment. Any mods pls feel free to edit / ajust as you see fit.

To date only 3 of our site have expressed an interest so we are throwing it open to anyone who may be interested. Here are the details.

"Torque Developments International (essex) is now offering free Chassis Dynamics evaluations in addition to itÃ,,Ã,,žÃ,s very popular free Dyno days to car clubs. Any voluntary proceeds are donated to Great Ormond Street ChildrenÃ,,Ã,,žÃ,s Hospital.

Car clubs will receive a corner weight check, Dynamic Index calculation, measurement of 36 geometry angles and a consultation with our Prodrive certified Chassis Dynamicist to a determine how any chassis improvements can be derived.

Torque Developments International hope that this will be a popular and useful service to car enthusiasts, and be beneficial to a very worthy charity. "

This sounds like an amazing oppurtunity to give to charity and also to get our cars on some of the best rollers possible. The average contribution is normally between 40 -100 quid. Our site have said that we would like members to offer £50. If you can comfertably afford more than it would all go to a good cause.

My main interest I have to say is in the chassis set up advice available. To me this is worth the 50 quid alone.

Deffinate date set.... 1st Nov 2008, currently 5 places left

Feel free to start a list on here if you are interested and I will transfer names over for you. If you have any queries pls contact Greg.  The link to the thread is http://cruisederby.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=23857]http://cruisederby.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=23857

If you don't wish to join Cruise Derby for info, then post any questions on here, or PM me and I will do my best to sort these out for you with Greg.

I'm up for that!! Going to treat the BOA to some new plugs and leads as she was misfiring a little under load the first time out - second time she was much better on the track but still hey ho might give me another half a horse power

how accurate is their dyno? i might be interested, dont think they can do much with my cortina chassis though! lmfao

Doughnutter

Don't know how accurate they are TBH. They are supposed to be one of the best in the country though, the dyno bolts onto your hubs not reading through tyres and rollers.

Saw your car at FF and was impressed mate

Thanks fella. It was a bit rough round the edges - still needs a polish and a good clean but hey it got there and went round the track. Well pleased.

Hi Doughnutter

I am not going to make Saturday. The car just failed its MOT and it runs out friday.

I am really sorry about this as I don't like to let anyone down if I can help it.

Hopefully someone else will be able to take my place.

Its always a bummer when you get people drop out at the last minute

Sorry to hear of you trouble Simon, hopefully you'll get it sorted soon

SO A FREE SPACE GOING FOR SOMEONE .............

simes

I'm very sorry, I'm really disapointed.

I wanted to get a torque reading before I changed the exhaust, in the vaugue hope that it might answer some questions about back pressure.

The cars booked in with Taps now but theres no way it will be done in time.

Hope it goes well for everyone else.

no worries mate, dont matter what car his in does it?

Doughnutter

No

I think theres a few Sierra's, a couple of Glanza's, MR2 and a drifty 200sx

AFAIK they can do just about anything there, not sure about bikes though, so if he's on 2 wheels he best off checking first

There may be one more place up for grabs, won't know till tommorrow eve though.

Owain

no worries mate, he'll be in his mx5, any idea on what time it's kicking off yet?
