Here are a couple of pics of ex wifes capri, that I spent yonks modifying then reshelling (transfered good bits to an 87 laser shell then did reg transfer)

the second incarnation in orange was featured in Performance Ford, mods as follows: escort 146lbs rear single leafs, Harvey bailey anti roll bars, solid rear 'void' bushes, A frame, 2.8 bilstiens 170lbs front springs, 2.8I crossmember and power rack, slight camber mod, sierra pulleys and pas pump, one off pas hoses, 90amp alternator, electric cooling fan (home brewed!!) quad side, dip and main beams(hella convex units), special order TSW Blade wheels(no spacers), 2.8 LSD with a 3.44 cwp, blueprinted pinto bottom end with a ported head, 270 cam, twin 40's, mechanical advance dizzy, 4pot front calipers, 9" rear drums. one off twin exhaust system (made by me with twin 2.5 inch stainless slash cut pipes running under the tank like a TVR!!!
Interior was a mix of fishnets, ghia centreconsole and carpets, electric windows.ICE was kenwood multichanger with a 4X100 amp, 6x9 in pods at the front, and 6x9s on the rear shelf.

the body was de trimmed, the wings were replaced (bolted rather than welded), the boot lock was removed and an electric release was devised, the washer jet hole was welded up and a Calibra aerial(washer jet built in), RS front spoiler and a mk2 front grille with a brass horse belt buckle made as a mascot!!(no its not a Mustang)

There were a fair few half capri Trailers kicking around ten years ago, the best one in my opinion was a box trailer clad with a front end and towed backwards, the bonnet could be lifted to access the inside!! The back halfs were ok but the drag when towing wasnt too clever!
