Hi all great forum
« on: February 25, 2016, 19:58:20 PM »
I'm Rob from Basildon got a Cosworth Bob 24v in an old transit. Heaps of grief but got it running great now save for a water leak which will get fixed at some point when warmer weather comes...
Sits in garden most of year so won't be driven (much or far) whilst water still gushes from where a pipe exits side of block to thermostat!
Well that's me pretty much summed up!

Almost had heart attack when I saw price so being a bit clever found this...
Ended up with same as second pic for 16quid posted!
On the run to Beaulieu it was apparent that the van ran cold as I gutted the stat thinking it may help keep the engine cool but it worked too well!
Ended up with card covering  half the rad to allow engine to reach running temp.
Get that fitted soon as we are racing up north weald in july ! Can't wait .

Always run a thermostat.

The thermostat does not only regulate the temp. Its also reduces the flow in the radiator giving the coolant more time to lose the heat.
