Bit of a long shot but does anyone know this car? Black sierra hatch J335 YNO
It was apparently built by top boss performance

The engine spec is supposed to be
Engine; 24v BOB
bored out to 3000cc (can 3.0 pistons even be got for these)
mahle pistons (are these not what’s in them as standard)
3 branch s/s manifolds (i'll add a pic of these)
custom ecu wiring
full s/s mongoose 2wd exhaust system
fully rebuilt, all new gaskets (hmmm)
pipercross induction kit
mocal oil filter relocated (where is best place to get these)
bob cams
upgraded injectors (unknown what these are from) maybe the Vectra ones?
chipped ecu (is the chip for these a piggy back or is it internal chip? its a BOA ecu

Anyway reason I ask is I have the engine from this car, so I’m not concerned about the car
I’d like to find out what I can about the engine.
hopefully someone will recognise the car and the pics of the engine in it.
also the gear box has been painted red.

here is a link to the last person who had it with plenty of pics of his build.

Here are some pics of the engine.
Anyone know what make these exhaust manifolds are?

It was apparently rebuilt with new guides an gaskets and all but I've no conformation of this and I havnt opens the engine to see what's in there. I just heard it running.
What I did notice is both oil returns from the head have been blocked off, what is the reason behind this? And is it ok to do this? Is it to keep oil in the heads longer?
Also as it is a remote oil filter this means there is no water jacket around oil filter housing, will this matter? As I'd like to remove this on my boa engine and do the same set up.

It looks to be a standard bob from the outside with just exhaust headders.

Pistons could be from another car. Untill you open it up who knows. The over bore is tiny though as standard they are 2935cc

The head drains will have been blocked off because itd on a 4x4 sump not the standard scorpio one.

Funny that spec. As that's the normal list for a boa.
Vectra injectors don't fit the bob.
Blocking the oil drains is not good. Headers look good though.

I know what they are, I just wanted to find out what company made them as there is no tag plate welded on them, they seem to be well enough made. They connect straight up to the mongoose system, but I don't know if mongoose made them, or if they were custom made

I didn't think it was a good idea myself that's why I asked, I will change these back to normal return to sump.
What injectors do people fit to a bob to upgrade, if these are supposed to be upgraded? Yea I'm happy with the headers should help it a bit. Are the exhaust ports on a boa and bob heads the same? Can't see a reason they wouldn't be but best to ask. Just wondering if these would go on my boa

The bob heads fit the boa block but you need also chance the cam drive, guides, the chain and cover. Its easier to swap the complet block.
