Where to buy engine components
« on: April 30, 2013, 14:41:00 PM »
Right, i made a list of parts i need for my rebuilt, but where to buy them for the best price? Im looking for main and bigend bearings, piston rings, arp big end bolts, cam bearings, maybe cam followers (cam is just like new, would i be able to polish the followers so they are like new?) core plugs and such? Burton seems to have it all, but if burton have it,msomeone else has it for less ive been told. Pound is high, dollars are lowe, manyone have a lead?

Engine is almost bare, just the stupid core plugs and a few oil gallery plgs before i can start cleaning the thing up ;D

Will make pictures of the crank and cam and bearings to show how new they look ;D

Looks like the cam lobes are a bit worn?

In the first cam pic the nr 3 lobe looks a bit off, could be just the pic though.

This might put you right for part numbers
http://www.fordopedia.org/parts-catalog/20-23-28-v6/A1.50
use them to cross reference ACL,Ering and payern etc
