Title: Duratec aoda engine

Does anyone know how to determine year of duratec AODA engine by engine no. rear of block on exhaust side.

If Ford haven't changed it, the engine number is the same as the last digits of the VIN of the car it was fitted to.

So if you use a Ford VIN decoder you will know the exact year and month of manufacture.

Thanks very much that is right, I just wanted to confirm that the AODAengine was out of vehicle he said it was and to check mileage prior to write off.
Ref. other posting it now means R9da engine is going in P100 as it will not fit in Ginetta as chassis and engine mounts are in the way and the Ginetta is having used AODA whilst I rebuild original.
