Post by: whiteestate on December 29, 2012, 00:27:41 AM
Ok ok not ford related but this was my other anger management tool !
87mph in 1st gear and restricted to 186 ! 180bhp rwhp and 110lbs tq
the fastest standard bike did a 9.7 quarter mile run!!!!!!

I had to get rid as it was sheer lunacy

The only two wheeled vehicle i drive is my pedal powered bike, had a few mopeds, had a honda nsr 125cc bike, as a moped, was pretty fast, sold it after a month or two, went back to a puch maxi 50cc, fast enough for me, brakes upgraded and everything done to that, great moped to use, had to take it apart weekly, but it went like stink for a 50cc,police didnt like it tough, spent a fortune on that for a 17 year old.

Cant have a machine without making it go faster, i even tuned my lawn mower, no more walking behind that, but run ;D

Nice bike!

I had a bike licence before a car licence as bikes was my first love.

However after one British winter on a bike I realised I needed a car too!

On a hot day on a good road with a decent superbike it's the most amazing thing, a car don't even come close!

Its such a different feeling to a car and i could lift the front end up at 70mph off the throttle lol ! useless in the wet as all it did was spin and slide all over the place. I have had my fun for now maybe a bmw s1000rr next year ! Im sure my sierra will be a go tow car !

Probably the biggest zx12 ninja meet in the uk lol !

Planning to do a few meets with the sierra and a few ford fairs in the new year.

Sold it 7 years ago just before I moved to Scotland, biggest regret of my life selling that bike, also sold the Pontiac LT1 V8 Firebird, (ran low 11's tweaked LOL), behind it at the same time  :'( :'( :'( :'(

Had Honda Blade 900, Yam Thunderace 1000 and R1 before the ZX12R and none of them compared.
Beleive me they are quicker that a Suzi Hayabusa, did many a track day wth guys of similair skill to me and whoopd 'em every time  ;D

Mine was stock except for Air Box Mod, Power commander and top speed de restrictor, plus a De Cat Blueflame Exhaust .............

191 BHP at rear wheel and oodles of torque, would wheelie off the throttle in 4th gear  ;D

Once I'd ran it in I never got more than 800 miles out of a rear tyre, and I didn't spin it up intetionally or do burn outs fronts would just about do 1600 miles  ;)

Never did get it flat oot but saw 210 mph, (confirmed by cops VASCAR), and it was still pulling  ;)
And no I didn't get a ban !!

This used to run sub 10 secs, I scratch built it, 400ci Chevy S/B, Nitrous etc etc, and it was road legal  ;)

Hi guys,

Paul,

Yes I built that "Fiat 500" around 17 years ago  ;)
Ran it at Santa Pod and Avon Park (now Shakespeare County LOL).

Originally it had a mild 350ci SBC in it (ran hi 12's), at the end it had a hot 400ci SBC with NOS and ran 9.6 at Avon Park one hot sultry August day  ;D

Not long afterwards I got the @rse with it, then a year or 2 later I flogged it to a guy who used to work for me, all covered in dust and in need of much TLC  ;)

I also ran my Race Tuned 350 Banshee Quad up the strip once, 12.7 mostly on the back wheels, absolute hoot  ;D

Dave,

My ZX12R was an 02 reg.  I rode plenty of pre 2000 stuff, right back to 70's LOL, had a Yoshi Tuned GS1000 Suzuki Caf Racer back in the day, by 'eck that was quick in the late 70's, but as you'll know yourself, they didn't handle in them days  :o not like the new stuff  ;D

Total petrol head since about 10 years old me  ;D
Like the fella above said, I even have a tuned mower sat in the shed  ;D
Cheers Dave

That was just a couple of years before I started going to Avon Park.

It's about 15 miles from me.

Went there for my bike test lessons too around 19 years ago.

Shit feel old now! :'(

Me too, in fact I think I'm dying today  ;D

But I also got "Death Bug Man flu" atm  :'(

Being lazy today, put a rad in a 2.8 TD Shogun yesterday, but they obviously got it too hot, so now they've ok'd pulling the head off it............Gonna get expensive LOL...............

Feel that rough I can't be @rsed to start on it today.
The sum total of todays work has been locating a set of plates for an Atlas ZF Diff so we can get my mates mental XE engined Manta out on this years Snowman Rally in a few weeks  ;)

Cheers Dave

First motorbike lesson, on a hinda cbr something, slow as shit, but first lesson, damn, the thing is high, i stopped on the test course witch i did flawless, but the damn bike was to high, and becouse of a waterdrain witch i hadnt seen, i couldnt get bot feet n the floor... So, i toppled over, making my instructor laugh so hard he almost pissed himself laughing... Didnt do the exams, becouse i wanted a fast bike i had to wait untill i was 24, but by the time i was 24 i was way to ill to get on a bike, once, inthe future...

Nice fiat bet that was a hoot to drive !
Yeah the zx12 i had i removed the 186mph restrictor but i was down a tooth an the front sprocket and 1 up on the rear the fastest with this on gps was 173mph on the track  ;)

I did hit the limiter at 186 (standard gearing was set to 203mph). 0-60 was 2.5 seconds standard, 0-100mph was 5.5 seconds he he 1st gear 86mph and 150mph in third. Now the likes of the bmw s1000rr will beat these zx12s due to them having 190rwhp and weighing about 40kg less it is all about power to weight.
