Cheers    yep, made the top half at work- just wanted to put my own touch to it, rather than using a cone filter. Its just mounted where the 2.8's metering unit used to be. When I got the car it came with a new K&N panel filter too, so really, it cost me nothing to sort it. I drilled the airbx too, to allow more air in.

I noticed your engine bay on another site and the airbox was the main thing i was impressed with. I guess the easy option is just fitting a cone filter but like yourself im not to keen on the look and like things that look like there ment to be there.

I like the black and red colour scheme going on in the engine bay, looks good.

Thanks, I got the engine with the cam covers already done in red & seeing as though it was a really good finish, I thought why not. I wanted the plenum done in a crackle finish powder coat, like a BDA or a Cosworth V8, but my powder coater couldnt get hold of just the small quantity needed to do it (a full vat cost about £200, so couldn't justify it) So I had to settle for a textured satin black. But it goes well with the smooth satin black on everything else anyway. Its all so much easier to keep clean than bare alloy!

Some really good looking stuff on your site Mikey- Nice work
