Bob catalytic convertor scrap value?

I have a pair that came from a Bob engine, anybody scrapped them before? Where's the best place to take send then too?

I weighed in a pair a while ago for £60-£70. Any non ferrous metal merchants will take them but be warned, there is no set price per kg. Ring around for approx prices if you've got a couple near you. If not, either bring them down or hang on to them till later in the year when prices go up. There's always a price drop around Chinese new year.

the advice i got was to cut as much of the steel pipe off as you can and weight it in seperatly

The fella I bring mine to just looks at the make and the condition of the matrix and gives a price.
I'm sure there's cleaning techniques that can used to improve the look but its hardly worth it. No matter what you get, its still free money.
