Yes mate , it has to be the best sound ever. When we got to it they had it running at 4500rpm I think idle. Then they warmed it up a bit at 9000rpm at a light load about 145hp lol  as he adjusted the mixture then a few pulls to 17500rpm holding it for what seemed like ages and 749.5bhp! They then set it to run a f1 that was saved from data and it was awesome 4.5k to 15.5k in well under a second and up through the gears. Wow is all I can say, there is a lot to say about the day really the bloodhound is a mighty impressive engine but it is a retuned f1 lump and wait it is only powering the fuel pump for the rocket booster in the new car! Yep a f1 engine fuel pump for 14 seconds. Awesome mate I will add some details and hope Grey will to, as I am flat out ATM for work and have lost my best pal Casper this week after 16 years and I'm totally gutted tbh.

R.I.P Casper.

It was Dave, some of the other stuff that was very interesting was the plane that looks like a toy.

It's not its a drone plane used by the U.S and our military and they do a two cylinder version also. it's derv and can fly very high and its block is machined from a one piece billet. It's very light and powerful.

The Subaru Cosworth was also discussed in depth and the remit from Subaru was it had to run for 50 hrs at wot on a dyno and survive. It took a few but they got the problems ironed out and did it!

They also on the factory tour showed a new engine they are supplying to a uk company , we thought Aston Martin . Very smart it looks like an f1 bottom end as in the sump and main arrangement and guys building up engines too.

The other department we looked at had the crate engines they supply and build to customer requirements . Immaculate to say the least lol with various old and newer f1 engines that are checked over or rebuilt . Some jap based v6 s was also there in turbo form and with a turbo and a supercharger combo.

They are also machining 4cyl alloy blocks ford , and there was a whole pallet maybe 10 blocks that had failed the quality control. Then more found outside in the skip and the other bits like main caps etc the engines and parts are all measured in a really clean room by a computer controlled robot with various attachments to get into different places.
