Hi all - new member to site having been pointed in your direction by a friend who described you as "an absolute wealth of info and help" and having finally had chance to have a quick nose I can certainly see where he was coming from.

Anyhow - based in Neath, sunny South Wales, member of southwalesfords classic car club (like minded blue oval and alcohol consumtion enthusiasts) and proud(ish) owner / full time fixer of:-  a 2.8 Capri, a BOA 24v converted saffy (that I'm in the process of tidying up) and a BOA 24v Granada Scorpio (destined to be the donor for the Capri but Ive been saying that for the year Ive owned it already LOL  ).

So with all that in mind you can prob all expect a lot of inane questions that you've prob answered before but pls bear with me as with any luck being electrical in trade I can hopefully be of some help as well as a pest!

Thanks both - to answer Ade, I bought the saffy already converted (to tide me over when doing the capri) so thats been more of a tidy up job for me as a taster - wiring probs / interior swop / exhaust / bits and bobs mechanically - just taken a bit longer to get it where I want it so I won't be left with two half-done cars!
When I bought the granny it was the old cliche, "too good to break" (it really is that clean, flew MOT with one small sill patch) and after several cries of "you cant b****y break that" Ive used it for nearly a year (even had it in Ford Fair this yr cost me a fortune to get there!) but its days are now numbered - can't keep all three  So once saffy is done, no more excuses, out with the grinder!
I like the idea of the post / diary though, it may keep me from reaching for the Prozac when it all goes horribly wrong - and from what Ive read already the advice here could prove invaluable. There's some good guys in the club as well so here's keeping the fingers crossed!
