Just checking it's all still happening as it was a disaster not long back.

So the latest word on the forums is it's all go then with the sprints etc.

Well, i will be going
For me it`s just a 45 min drive from home.

Last year the sprints went on ok,the only downside was that the track was too narrow for 2 cars @ the same time.
So it was 1 car @ at a time.
No biggie, the queue wasn`t that long

On the other side: the slalom track was quite big..

The charme of EFE was sprinting with 2 cars and the battle between them. Thats gone now.

If i want to see 1 car sprinting, i just have to go to a local traffic light.

I have 3 race tracks, within a 1 hour drive, that have drag or sprint races with 2 cars, so for me the choise is easy.

If they change the layout a bit, there will be enough space to create a sprint track that`s wide enough for a head to head race.

The space where the slaloms were held is big enough for a sprint track

The capri v8 will be in its stable for now, nicely coverd with blankets. First i have to find a job and get back to work and finish school. If thats done, i still have to build a new engine and i am thinking of modifying the capri for a 4x4 drivetrain.

I dont think they will do heads up race anymore. For years they where talking about canceling the heads up races because the cars went to fast. Now they dont have a track thats wide and long enough so they see there wish coming true.

like i said before: If i want to see 1 car sprinting, i just have to go to a local traffic light.

Flevonice has big financial problems and is bankrupt. They gone try to find someone how wants to take over and has enough money to do a re-start. Its wil be difficult with the economic crisis now.

Hmmm well I am planning to be over your way that weekend anyway so we will see what happens.

Just have to spend 2 days at the nurburgring if it's cancelled!

I always had some traction problems

with a new 7 liter v8 turbo i am gone build for the capri, this traction problem will be wurse. So yes, i gone copy you.

Its a real punishment to stay 2 days at the nurburg ring

Nothing is certain yet. The xr/rs club has not responed to this message. They have more events on flevonice like the club days.

its final. Flevonice is declared bankrupt today.

Th xr/rs club wil have a meeting with the owners to see if there is a possibility to still hold EFE there and they are also looking for a other location. Nothing is certain yet.

I still don`t get it why they left the Megaland terrain.

That was big enough, and not so far from the Ring.
Maybe they can hold it there again

Or maybe rent a piece of the old American Airbase in Soesterberg.
There are miles and miles of open tracks there

That would be the best place to hold EFE. It just needs beter tarmac

From what i heard, it was disagreement about money, and because the club leaders live in the north, they want a place closer to there homes. Flevonice was very close at there homes.

The owner of this track http://www.racewayvenray.com/ already offerd ( a few times) to hold efe there, 3 years ago. The xr/rs club refused. From what i heard, the club did not even talked with the owner.

This place is about 75 km of heerlen, close to the german border.

There is also a airport where classic ford event is hold http://www.classicford.nl/

Thats 50 km from heerlen and close to the border of germany.

A other place is airbase Brustem in Belgium. 30km of maastricht.
