Hi guys

I fitted a walbro 255 fuel pump to the scorpio when i had to replace the fuel tank the other day

However its running full pelt all the time as you can hear it running when just on tick over. Also i seem to be using fuel as quick as when the tank was leaking and ive got a strong fuel smell.

I thought maybe i had a leak and that would be the cause of all 3 but ive got no obvious signs of a leak. Even with the car idling in 1 spot theres no wetness any where and the exhaust isnt any sootier then normal (just done a good 200 mile over the weekend)

So.. do i have a leak or is this all a sympton of the walbro pumps??

Is it a 255 pump?
They will overload the reg a bit, if you check the fuel pressure you will see it is higher than it should be.
Maybe the ECU is having trouble controlling the fueling & it's running rich.

That's  if your sure theres no leaks!
