a lot of engineering there! its good to see some people really do push the limits of an engines capability,he could have just gone v8 instead for the same power!

love the colour of that car  the engine is something else .

That car has been around for years.

Use to be a yard stick engine where as you judge other builds on how close they got to that cars dyno plot.

However for some reason we now know that car is down on power.

There is 2.9 12V'S making almost the same figures on the same boost.
That engine is a 4.3L or it used to be!

However the work done on the engine is real class & second to none.

Personnally I think the head porting is what lets the engine down & maybe the turbo's.

Car is from Finland.

Spec as of 2010:

Engine:
Power 490hp & 675nm
Bore: 4.040" Melling sleeves
Pistons: Forged Mahle -32cc dish
Stroke: 3.44"  Touch crank
Rods:  Eagle  length 6"
SBC Bearings and pistons pins
Intake valve 1.732" ss
Exhaust valve: 1.46" ss
Ported heads: Cast iron
Exhaust manifold: 1.73"pipe and 16.52" length
Intake manifold: 2x56mm throttlebody
Engine managment: KMS 25
Injector:  750c/c siemens
Coils:  6 x LS1

The video is of the new engine I think because he blew the old one up as it never had a girdle!

A girdle may keep the cap walk in check but at these hp levels even a girdle will not keep the block together.

In the picture you can clearly see how thin the metal of v6 really is.
