TT There are a couple of issues that have come to light with the engine that im going to speak to fitz about, untill now however the car has run ok and pretty much as expected. I don't think i've said it doesn't.

I'm not trying to slag fitz off, was just expressing that i wasn't impressed with what happened re turning up and it not being ready.

Regards that in fact, yes it did run out of petrol (while i was actually at the garage, so it matters not who had the key to the cap because i was present with it). It ran out of petrol after around an hour of Fitz running it and revving it and trying to make it run OK.

'the reason why it was being converted to 24v is because the guy who spent 100s of man hours building the 2.8 messed up and it didnt last long' Not true, something i never said, the actual reason it was converted is the electrics running the 2.8 engine had failed several times and i decided in the end to replace it with the lump i always wanted. But that doesn't really matter as it has no effect on whats happened.

The wires hanging down were not the lambda sensor cables. I'm not even sure what these should connect to and have such have tied them up with the other unused connections.

I'm certainly not here to slag fitz off because he's black. This however must have happened previously by somebody because thats not the first time its been mentioned.

I'd just like to state finally, i am and never have been here to slag off Fitz. He did the work, a couple of niggles i wasn't happy with re the hanging wires and it not being ready but at the end of the day it ran and drove OK when i left his garage and i was happy enough tbh. I'm sorry that this has turned into a Fitz bashing/defending exercise, i wouldn't be happy if i was on the receiving end of it!

I've had to email Fitz today regards the car, and i'll be contacting him again regards whats been said on here. I hope this will be the end of the 'he did this' 'but you said that' and such.

If Tiff ( as TB rep) and yourself both agree that the issues more or less sorted then one of admin will lock the thread with a "Amicable" resolution.

FPUK has no issue with TB and we would rather individuals seek a resolution to their issues outside the public forum.

it is encouraging that the car is running well, and hopefuly your chat with Fitz will reach the point where your both happy.

lastly, I hope that this has not disillusioned your faith in your car and your are beginning to enjoy the 24V engines quirks..
