They forgot to get all permits...

So the firebrigade banned all car racing
We only found that out, when we read the small announcement @ the organisers stand...

They kept it real quiet, no announcements via the pa systems or anything..
They should have told everyone @ the entrance..

We were there just before 9 o`clock and left @ half past 12...
It`s no fun just looking at cars, when they should have been competing with each other..

That`s were most of us come for..

Makes me really considering if it`s going to be worthwhile to go next year....

Well, we did pick Jaffa and his girlfriend up and drove to the clubarea.
After about half an hour TimoXR4i and his girlfriend also showed up.

We didn`t do a lot to the stand i`m afraid, since we were with just 4 cars.
I did bring my videocamera, but i really wanted to film the sprints..

Since they were cancelled, i didn`t take any photo`s or filmed anything  

p.s. too bad most of you cannot read Dutch, as the XR/RS club who organized it gets really bashed upon in their own forum

and not only on there one website, but almost every ford forum in europe.

i will not be supriced if they already knew in advance that the sprints and slalom would be a no no because they had no permit and did not say anything to still get paying visitors.

sadly its in dutch.

its there own fault by not checking the permits off flevonice and flevonice was wrong by not telling them they needed a permit for the track events. its a very well known fact that the goverment dont like motorsports and they dont give a permit for a motorsport event easy.

they where beter off staying in landgraaf.

it was bad, bad weather, no racing, you name it, but, i spoke a lot of people, got the parts i wanted, the only thing i couldnt find me a nice cossie bonnet... Better luck next year?

they do 2 xrrs events. efe and the year meeting off the xrrs club.

i already heard that the year meeting will be canceld because they will lose the space to the airport, who wants to expand.

as for efe, well i think efe will be a finacial disaster for the xrrs club this year. and lets be honest, if you where the organistion, would you go back to flevonice? not me.

a friend told me that flevonice did exact the same thing with the chrysler/plymouth club, they found out that they needed a permit, a few weeks before the planned date, and tryed to get a permit, but the goverment was not willing to give them one, so they had to cancel everything and lost alote off money.

sounds like a nightmare,kinda glad i couldn't make it this year,i would of been totally pissed off not being able to run the car,
for uk visitors its still great fun just driving over and havong a few beers!
 maybe it can be held at the nurburgring next year,no problems running the cars there

Just heard from Jaffa and Laura and they've had car problems (water pump and brakes). Brakes are sorted and they are just waiting for the pump to be fitted by a Ford garage.... hopefully Saturday

got back this afternoon car is all fixed but had a great time inspite of it got to see everything we wanted too just going through the pics ill post some up soon......

EFE well what a disatser indeed gonna put alot off that event for years to come.

at the moment there is a ear deafening silence around the organisation off EFE. on several dutch ford forums, where topics where opend about the EFE disaster, people off the organisation try to keep it down and quit.

to make things even wurse, the word is out that a local race track owner offerd his track and terrain to keep EFE there. the organisation off EFE turned it down.

At the moment I think I will try & attend but only because it would be part of a Nürburgring trip!
