Hi, has anyone fitted or know anything about the group N clutch ratchet sold by graham goode racing, i'm looking to fitted a heavy duty clutch but don't want the heavier peddle feel to go with it, i've been told that the group N ratchet will improve the feel/travel, any advice please  also fords did a number of ratchets in different sizes, mines a yellow 45mm but they do a 50 and 55mm, 50's probably not enough extra but 55mm may suit but what was this size fitted to? Granada's? any info please as i'm sure these will be much cheaper than the £15 GGR are asking for the Group N ratchet which may not be suitable anyway,

I fitted an AP Racing Pinto clutch to my DOHC TT car.  This was not the low lift Sierra type so I had to change the quadrant as the clutch wouldn't disengage at all.  I'm sure the one I fitted was a 55 mm.  It was marked as for an Escort.  This worked fine.  When I subsequently changed the engine to the 2.9 I have now, along with an AP Cosworth clutch, I had to change the quadrant back because if you fully depressed the clutch pedal it pulled the release arm so far that the arm hit the clutch cover.  You had to be careful not to press the pedal too far.  After changing it back to the standard quadrant, I didn't really notice that the clutch operation was harder.

Hi, thanks for the info, not too worried about extra travel as its still a cossie clutch but i did want to try and make the pedal light or stay the same as it is now with the standard cossie clutch, looks like it maybe onto plan B and convert to hydraulic, just out of intrest what model/year escort was the 55mm quadrant from?

The mark4 escort one is 55mm ford finis 6194025 £11.07 plus vat
