To all 24v Cosworth converted Capri's - who do you insure with and what prices are you getting? Some of the quotes I've had this year for a classic 300miles /year policy are a joke

I'm insured with Adrian Flux, 3rd party Fire & Theft, 3000miles a year, all mods are declared, and this years renewal was £350.
(To get a idea, mods include 17" alloys, rear roll cage, 24v conversion, rear disc conversion, etc, etc)
To be honest i've never even tried looking for 'classic' insurance! At the end of the day it's a modified sports car and that's how it's insured!
Try looking at modified car insurance, Flux's specialise in this and kit cars, etc, so they might offer you a better price?
Been with Flux's for 5 years now, no complaints, i never even bother shopping around any more!

PS. For comparison, i'm a 29yr old engineer living in Tyne and Wear. 7yrs no claims. No convictions, etc.

Good luck!

they want that much just for putting an engine in with 30 hp more than the engine you took out  (assuming both were spot on) ? what are they going to want from people running 300hp boosted on the stock engine? more cos of the hp hike? or less because its the original engine? anyone know?
