Hi Guys,

Can anyone measure / tell me the length of a YB engine from bellhusing face to front crank / waterpump pulleys ?

Cheers in advance

Wot no one on here got a YB sittin' on the floor and a tape measure lol !!

Wot I'm hoping is that its more than 660mm, then I'll know my BOB will fit lengthwise in the bay I intend to fit it lol.

Widthways its fine and we know a 4 pot YB goes in, but until I weld the Tunnel in we aint 100% sure on the length, but I'm fairly certain the V6 will be a bit shorter than a YB lol.

Cheers Dave

Don't be too sure about that.

The 24v is quite bulky with all the pulleys and belts on.........

Dave2302

Yeah but the YB is longer I'm almost sure, just don't have one sitting around to measure lol, but thinking back to the old Capri / Granada days a Cologne V6 with pulleys etc was always shorter than a 2.0 SOHC with pulleys etc attached !!

Like I said width and height wont be a problem, but anyways I'll know soon enuf once I cut the Sierra floorpan out and start grafting the tunnel in !!

cheers Dave
