what 1st had pats?

Which car 1st had pats and when?

I think it was the Escort and Mondeo from 95 onwards.

Not sure tho.

Just trying to get a firmish answer as somone on another forum swears his dad had an efi pinto sierra with transponder imobaliser, I have already pointed out that PATS was not introduced till 94/95ish and the last EFi pinto was 89, and that in 89 probbly no manufacturer had a transponder.

I think the guy must be very confused.

Do you mean the ring/anttena transponder type around the ignition barrel.......or just general PATS?

My xr2i has external PATS (push button on fob type) and thats on a `93. I`m sure the H-reg twincam I used as the donor for my 1600i had a one as well IIRC.

All the bug eye Scorpios had PATS and they came out in '94
