I cant seem to locate the fuel pump relay on my 91,H xr4x4  and im in the middle of wiring up the 24v please can somone help identify it a bit quick  cheers

Hi its the purpul one behind the glove box on the earlyer 4b quite sure it the same on all the 4b.

It's one of the small brown ones in the fusebox, can't think which one right now though, although I think there are only 2

Agree with "littlegems4x4" it is a small brown relay in the fuse board, and if my memory is working its the one in the middle furthest away from the bulkhead. Cheers Ray

Well on a 89 car it's the pink one in the main box.

Mines an 89 G reg Dave and it's deffo the brown one, typical Ford always changing their minds

Hi Dave, mine is a 89/90, (G Reg), to and the pinky one, (with the bit of duct tape) is for the air con, definately the brown, (between the blue and white), is for the fuel pump. Cheers Ray

cheers ray that should solve it , now, to start another ive got a problem thread

To clear this up.
The pinky one is known as the fuel pump relay but all it does is prime the system.
Remove it & it won't prime but will still run once the engine turns over.

The brown one controls more than just the pump but if you remove it, it will kill the pump & most of the engine electrics to.

Well thats how I remember it.
