Hello everybody this is a great site with loads of info.
Wonder if anyone can help i have been waiting for my local ford agents to supply a pair of cam chains for my v6 24 valve engine (BOB) since march but they say they are still on backorder the engines been rebuilt upto the cam chains but i cant find any.
I have been on to Renolds chains but they sold the automotive chain side some years ago i have emailed people in Spain Germany but still no good.
I know where there are a pair of second hand ones that have done 90k but i dont really want to use them as i believe they should be changed at or around 100k.
Can anybody help ?

Hi & welcome.

Well I know Renolds did chain for the BOB as I have bought some off them before so who they sell that side to???

Ask your dealer to cancel & re-order it a few days later.

Sometimes that works for me or it then shows up as a deleted part

Welcome - as you say loads of help and advice on here. I use Orbic Bearings http://www.orbic.co.uk/]http://www.orbic.co.uk/ for all my chain and sprocket needs - when I had a 24v they were able to supply cam chain any length - all you need is the proper tech spec and how many links. You may well be pleased about the price too.

Thanks Gareth never thought i would have so much trouble finding cam chains I will try them
