I'm looking at putting an electric steering column in my capri. Would i be best off driving a  standard capri manual rack with it or what? ideas please!

The Corsa one is use in escorts. Have a look for some that have been done.

If u wanna go down the root of an electric Steering COLUMN, the best 1 to go for is a Corsa Type B, with ECU whatever steering rack you want to use is up to you, non power rack i would recommend as u don't need anything to power that side of it.  it will take fabricating the bottom of the corsa colum to match the bottom of the colum u have now, also u need to fabricate the mounting points of the corsa column to fit you'r car.
I got this setup on my XR4i i also used a manual rack wiv a quaife 2.8 pinion & rod & i love it!! also u can get the unit for £48 from e-bay which controls the how heavy & light u want it, wiv a control knob.
A really nice Steering setup, just needs a bit of Fabricating.
If It Ain't Going Sideways I Don't Care!!
