Nice looking bit of kit although the BOB one looks unfinished.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know what power a BOB would make with triple 40 DCNFs, ported heads and a free flow exhaust.

Just a thought.

i have seen them ones, if i recall its a EAS engines manifold, together whit the dta/eas efi trottlebodys it made 226 hp.

they are rare.

It looks well made but if the bhp figures above are accurate and I don't doubt that then it's a big dissapointment especially given the cost of carbs and when comparing with efi.

this manifold was made in the early days off the 24v and used efi injection, but it was very expencive and with 226 hp not a succes either. they tryed this manifold with normale carbs, but that was no succes either. they lost torque in the low and mid range, there for the engine wasn't suited for the street. after that they stopped development off this manifold.

a friend off mine drove a capri 2.8i whit that intake and triple carbs. it looked good, it was loud, and on the dyno it resulted in 164 hp. but there where 2 downpoints, the fuel consumption was very bad and after a few day off driving, he always needed to adjust the carbs again. i must say, he used 2e hand carbs, but even a rebuild off those carbs, did not help.

OK so if i get it right.......

You pay 600 quid for the manifold.

Pay another 600 quid for the carbs, and its still crap??

Why not go EFI with a mappable ECU and for 800 quid you have a proper running car?????????
