I have been doing some digging on this car

Way out of my price range, the engine is alot more special than he makes out.

If you asked someone to build the engine it would cost more than 10K.

Then you have all the Group A Cossie stuff which is worth loads

strikes me where people can get this sort of money for an old car in these hard times.i cant even get a job nevermind 10k+ for a sierra

mouldytbags, i hope you find a new job very soon. it sucks when you have no work and have to depend on wellfair. its my great fear at the moment. my contract will end in 2.5 months, and i already saw the company plans to save money and see the first people go. its no fun going to work knowing there are to much people working there and have to go. i am already looking around but the marked for new jobs is scrinking by the day.

Quotewithout shite loads of hassle of the benefits people aslo dont like the way they look down on us and they seem to think we dont want to work.

dont talk about it, the first time i applyed for wellfair, it took 6 months before they started paying, then i found a job whit agentcy for 2 weeks, i had to apply again, this time it took them 7 months before they started paying. the problem here is if you dont have work you are by law forced to ask for wellfair (tax reasons). and as soon if you got wellfair, you are nothing in there eyes and they force you into jobs that pay not even 50% off the mininum wager. if you say no against a job for 40 hours a week that pays only 50% off the minimum wager, than the force you in it, by cutting the pay whit 100%, so you have noting. thats what happend to me, but i started a law suite against them. and they dont like that either.

i glad i found a job a few months back, and i hope i can keep it till times get beter. i hope you find a job again.

Thing is youve got to go and look at it in Ireland - thats too far to go and look at a car for most so I think they keep it a little longer. Theres an Aston V12 engine on there thats been relisted for months. I saw one auction for it end in a winning bid but it comes back with identical description... point is, some people are prepared to play the long game... sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't - this guy might get stuck with it and never get offered 15k for it again... OR there might be bidding frenzy at the very end and might get a lot more - We'll see in 22 hours

and to the unemployed - my heart goes out to you - especialy those of you with families to look after - I hope something good turns up realy soon for you all    Today a mate of a mate, a "gold" mechanic got laid off along with the rest at camden motors aylesbury - sucks

I can't see it getting any better though - everyday more people are let in from abroad to look for jobs despite the economic downturn and widespread redundancies - fooking maddness it is

the bidding has ended, £15,100.00 Reserve still not met.

well i got the news from the agentcy today, that the contract will end in may. it was up to the company, for witch i work for, if they want keep me or kick me out off a job.

sinds today i have a few new colleague's, all 17 and 18 year old, still at school and the company offerd them a trainee post. me and some older colleague's have to train them. and they where not happy, it was a first that the company starts using trainee's.

guess who is staying.....

Well I think the car made what it was worth.

Maybe he was just fishing to see what the market was like as I am amazed he had such a high reserve.
