on saturday the 21st dec 2008 this site will be closed down/offline from 10.30pm untill 1am,,

due to the server change, we hope to be able to get it done sooner tho!

i hope after the server chance all problems are gone and everyone is happy and you can relax, i got the feeling you can use that.

its not me so much!!!
olaf in holland is working hours to do this, he is the one burning the midnight oil downloading/uploading and well eating candy to.

the server will be our long term home soon but things need to change else where as i have found a can of worms, i now know i need to uprgade software as soon as i can and well its expencive and going to uplift the site in ways as well.

with our (taps/me) limited abillitys on this we have kept  this going and say it myself we did really well.

p.s. it takes 1min 45 secs from pressing "add reply" to the page reloads so you can imagine the fun i have!!

Well just think of the fun of downloading the entire forum...
It downloads @ 100kb per second, so it will take most of the evening, just to make the backup..

So if the forum is even slower than normal, now you guys(and galls) know what`s the reason  

But i`m sure the transition tomorrow night will go smoothly

Ok, the forum has moved over to the new server.
We have upgraded the software too  

For the a little while the site is accessible both via the new URL : http://maddoldbugger.powweb.com]http://maddoldbugger.powweb.com
and via the old one: http://www.fordpower.org.uk]http://www.fordpower.org.uk (it`s redirected to the new server)

It will take a few days before the domain is transferred properly, but everything is working now.
(p.s. took us the whole day to get the data copied and 2 hours to get the database running again...
