Got a 2.0l Zetec in my my escort van same thing really. Pretty straight forward job, use all 1.8 zetec stuff even if you`re putting a 2.0l in.......... 1.8 sump, pickup pipe, oil pump, water pump, 1800 flywheel with pickup points for flywheel sensor or 1600 efi cvh one with flywheel bolts enlarged (personal preference I used lightened 1800 one) I used a 1.8 fiesta alternator and bracket i know some people use 1.6 cvh one and swap pulleys, inlet can use either 2.0 plastic or cast ally 1.8. Rs turbo gearbox with lsd will bolt straight on to any block. Loads of aftermarket 4-1 or 4-2-1 exhaust manifolds about. You will need to cut the o/s engine mount about thought and weld a new bolt hole to fix to the back of the block properly.

Wiring is straight forward can either use standard management or aftermarket. These plenty of different options about now. Could strip everything bar management off zetec mk5 escort or mk3 fiesta and splice it into your escort loom, I know the mondeo ones run a seperate engine/management loom (I`ve got one in the garage but havent had time to play around with it yet) so might be easier getting one of them less hassle and wires the connect?

If your going standard there are 105bhp 1.8`s and 130 1.8`s only difference (internally) being under piston oil spray jets. 136bhp 2.0`s also have these fitted. (externally) 130`s have bigger throttle body, different cams, maf sensors and different ecu`s. All gets abit confusing as they all use edis 4 ignition but early ones use external edis modules and dont have PATS later looms have internal and external edis modules and have PATS. Its best to go for say a early series 1 or 2 silvertop zetec than a series 3 blacktop as people have had problems i think, I used a early silvertop so dont really know alot about the blacktops.

Think thats about everything.
