Just to let you Know
a mate of ours had his Saphire stolen sometime back - it was as cossie replica with a 24v fitted, it was taken from Essex in the early hours....
After a the usual wait and no trace he was paid out, ok got the money but lost the car he had built up
last week the insurance company called him - it had been found!!!
it was returned a fair bit battered no rear axle..
He got it back but its a sad state now - so going to be having to do another one
this is a map of the area it was found Miles away

Not much you can do except keep it in a locked garage, my advice is to make sure you have decent agreed value insurance, and add in the hours spent building it as well as the parts costs.

the problem is the punishment doesnt fit the crime someone caught doing that should get 15 years min i'd gladly pay higher taxes to keep scum like that locked up off the streets!

if my van got nicked no amount of money would replace it - if i was offered £10k for it (thats much more than its worth) i wouldnt take it

i'd be thankfull to get it back. to be fair they probably only want it to sell the YB, they'd of been pissed off to open the bonnet and see the 24v so smashed the sunroof.

Yes they are scum and should be shot, but they could of cubed it to weigh in for the scrap metal like i'd  expect the pikeys to do.
