Have a word with Barry @ XR4i Spares Centre as he can build you one... you'll also need a 2.9 cologne flywheel (from a Sierra XR4x4) and the clutch for the XR4x4.

Barry is on 07901 702406

Have a word with young Christophe - he's in the process of putting a Cologne V6 into a Mk2 Escort which dimensionally under the bonnet is as per Mk 1 near as damn it. Have a look at his project thread...

Noel, a type 9 won't last very long mated to a twin turbo 24v cosworth.
And the MT75 with V6 bellhousing are just about all 4x4 boxes. Type "mt75 hybrid" into ebay and you might get one done for about 300-400, with new seals and bearings.

Dude - I would strongly advise NOT getting one off Ebay. You never know what crap they use to make them. Barry uses decent bits (he's building a hybrid for a Capri tonight) - new bearings, etc. His prices are competitive with the unknown history Ebay ones but the quality is spot on - even get a 12 month warranty which can't be sniffed at. Anyway - best keep it in the "Ford Power" family eh? We're all mates here and look out for each-other - that way no one gets stuffed up with crap gear.

Some of the crap hybrid boxes use the wrong input shaft (the 2.0 shaft nose is too short), some put in gears that are not meant to mesh together etc. Speak to Barry - he's your man. Down this end of the country we all go to him.
