i've got an cortina mk5 (1981) its now a 2L v6 but this weekend my BOB 24v engine is going in
now is my question how to do with the fuel pump?
i''m gonna use one of a xr4i but there are just 2 little pipes on the fuel tank  have anybody done did before to weld underneeth de tank a pipe that fits the fuel pump hose? or whats the best i can do

This is what i did for an EFI pump on me Mk5 cortina, or at least i had it fitted for me  
there's a swirl pot inside on the other end of the large bore pipe (and a magnet to catch the rust)

I do know people who have used the origional pickup pipe (but replaced it with a larger bore pipe braized into the sender plate) but they have fuel starvation under 1/4 of a tank on cornering

Hello,

I don't know this for sure, but some say the Sierra estate tank fits the Cortina with few or none modifications.
Could be worth a try.  There's plenty of FI Sierras around.
