Time ya thought of moving, plenty old people live here lol plenty old sierras and mk4 escorts fiestas etc. Fuel's about 75p a litre community tax is summit like £200 for 2 years. Packet a fags 3 euros so work that out pmsl evrything dirt cheap.

It's very true,  we had a week last May, and the previous August.. July in 05 had great sunshine... ( I just said it was like that for weeks, but not which weeks  )

Oh Andy this place is so different mate it's unbelievable. So laid back here, roads are brilliant with little traffic and thats even motorways dual carrageways etc. All seem to be new, no pot holes like we have, great long straights even through mountains then you come to fecking corners like Scotland has except they have great fook off drops to the side should ya miss judge  everyone driving like they're council workers shoving in time ( 40mph ) except the lorries that come round corners like Schumacher!

Loads a renault 4's & 6's even 11's 14's still on road as well as mkII fiestas mkIV escorts and sierras still on road. Not to mention fiat 500 & 127 also 131's. All the motors I served me time working on  loads of new motors too of course and loads a dealerships in every town. Just said today getting a job wouldn't be a problem I don't think coz between garages and all the stone plants (marble etc) seems to be plenty to do. If it wasn't for james and school I'd seriously consider moving out here! Jayne's mum and dad's house is bigger than I imagined and the ground they have with it is unbelievable. The 2 plots they have at bottom of they're place (see photo beyond palm trees)they've filled with fruit trees, oranges apples pears grapes mangos etc but one plot here like that we've houses selling for £500,000 1/4 mile from my work.

We don't have pot holes in carlisle, we just have loose surface roads now.  ( It's fking rediculous how bad some roads are!! )

yeah Drive down there alot wher the subsidance attacked . usualy stuck behind sunday drivers...

Council pledged 750K for repairs but I have not seen one yet.

I now avoid Brampton rd in the Mondeo  as it gives me a right sore a..e!!

the council says the budget covers resurfacing ever 50 years!!!!

You need a large car, if you have a micro car youy stand a good chance of disapearing down  a pothole for good.

In 1994 our roads were super. liyyeraly goneto pot now!

Hi Mark,

got your text today, Jayne says thank you. Not much of a birthday having to get up at 3am (2am our time) to be at Alicante airport for check in at 4;30am.

Don't know about the school in that area mate, very small village. Lovely place but bit too far out in the sticks for us I think. It's a good 40 minute drive inland, if we did decide to move out there I'd be looking to get a little nearer to coast.

Andy, we've had to suffer a small 14" portable tv all week coz the house is still on builders supply electric. In other words through a very long extension lead lol you can't have too many lights on at once and if you switch kettle on the lights dip  they can't have a big tv at moment till mains leccy's switched on coz been advised the low current wouldn't be good for it. One good thing though is whilst on builders supply builders paying the bill  thats been since last sept and they've had pool built and everything with his leccy

that sounds like my old bungalow you'd put the kettle on and the lights dimed and fuses would blow if to many things on and could'nt even get broadband cos we were that far out in the sticks away from civilisation
