Thanks for the welcome guys  @ Steve it was the heater blower that had died on mine so it is now converted to standard took the A/C blower box out & changed it for a std one I will take the compressor off tomorrow if it ever stops raining (bloody weather)  
Then when I change the cylinder head I will take the dryer off the main rad

Hi Owain it 's never worked since I bought the car & when I took the condensor out the system was totally empty no fluid what so ever so it must have a massive leak somewhere plus every firm I have spoken to about getting it re-gassed what a fortune so it has to go mate

Air-con is great 'if' it works and an expencive pain when it don't.
Not worth the agro for the 3 days a year you need it

I know what you mean Marty plus with all the components it's a heavy luxury especially when you have electric windows & electric sunroof which both work just aswell

Shame, as when they work they are the bollocks, would be interested in your pump if it spins nice and freely, if you're not adversed to hanging onto it for a while

well if it's still running R12 and you want to keep it that way, give me a shout as mines still running R12

if system checks out ok local place will reinstate the system using a Ã,,Ã,€¹€œdrop inÃ,,Ã,,žÃ, R12 replacement refrigerant.about 90 quid for checks and regass if all is ok.
Just got to find the money first.

mine was £70 for checkover and refill with gen R12, pump change cost me £120 gassed up as well
