[attachment=1]  I am restoring a '72 Rochdale Olympic.  The car was originally fitted with a 1500cc Cortina GT engine mated to a Ford Corsair 4 speed box.  I bought the car minus engine and gearbox and decided to fit something equivalent but more modern.  I have a 1600cc Zetec engine which I am mating to a Ford Granada MT75 5 speed box.  This fits well and is often done by the Westfield crowd.

Minor problems at the moment are obtaining a suitable exhaust manifold to clear the starter which fits on the bottom left of the engine, obtaining suitable a inlet manifold (not too expensive) and locating the alternator.  Advice on the net is to fit a Lucas LR707 starter but so far I have not been able to find a supplier.  I don't know what car this one came off.

Other problems will emerge no doubt and hopefully this forum will provide the solutions.
