needing a little help please

hi all
newbie needing a little help here
I have just acquired a 24v to go into my 1955 pop
but after diving in like I do bought a bob I do have just about the full car harness but it has been cut around the passenger side area where loom comes through the bulkhead ,loads of purple wires all the same so don't know if will be able able to match them up to solder them so...

after reading sum posts on err thinking of using a boa ecu question is will boa ecu run a bob engine and  if so what ecu part numbers or codes can I use .

You have 3 options.

Use the BOB loom. Its can be repaired with a good diagram.

Use a BOA 1GAA/1GAB or BABY ecu with a loom. You just need to find a decent uncut loom and a good ecu. And you need a rpm window switch to control the VIS valve.

Or go with a aftermarket ecu.

thanks  capri v8 driver don't suppose you have a link to a good diagram, just not sure what to cut  out on the bob harness and what not to
was thinking of maybe using the bob ecu plug cutting it to just tails then making a harness to suit a boa ecu would that run on a bob engine

The BOB is a 104 pins ecu plug and the BOA ecu plug is 60 pins. So its very different.

The best chance to find a loom and ecu is ebay or you could place a add in the pars wanted section.

I wouldnt bother with the BOB wiring and ecu, real headache and its got a pats immobiliser and autobox wiring in there. I assume you are going to go manual? I would find a BOA loom, its straight forward and only marginal mods to get it to run on the BOB engine (lengthen a few wires) Also most BOB wiring looms the coatings on the wires fall apart so chances of it being crack free are slim.......
