Quick question

Hi I'm new on here and finding the site very useful but i cant find any information on the weight of the cosworth v6 engine.

Also if anyone knows the weight of the Sierra twincam engine it would be very helpful.

A complete boa/bob is around 225 kilo.

A dohc is around 150 kg.

I have heard so many different weights of the Cologne that it´s impossible to know. I was about to weigh Both 29er 12v and 24v and see but if anyone have more proof i would be glad.
Most numbers land on 165 kg (365lbs) for an empty 29er cologne 12v without exhaust and fluids, the 24v should not be a 65kg heavier piece or?

The heads of a 24v are almost twice the weight of the 12v heads and the intake is heavy to.

A efi 5.0 small block is actualy lighter (and smaller) than a 24v.

I think you need to replace the crank seal 

Mine boa was weighted at 225 kg, with the, dynamo and flywheel.

The bob has a much lighter intake

So around 200kg is the approximate weight?

Was only wondering because my Sierra is right and low and don't want the wheels rubbing the front arches again

I don't think 50kg will make a massive difference

You could use stiffer springs. V6 springs are heavyer than the 4 cilinder springs.
